At Tiptoe: Photography and Performing Arts

28. 05. 2026.

You probably know that feeling of excitement when you arrive at a certain venue before an event and the whole atmosphere of the packed hall takes you under its spell! And that's exactly how it was before, it's safe to say, with the music-dance spectacle Pas de deux - Dancing in pairs on the tips of the fingers, performed by prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Opera and star of the Milan Scala Svetlana Zakharova and violin virtuoso of world orchestras Vadim Rjepin, organized by CEBEF. ☺️

As a fan of the performing arts, this time too, it is with great joy that I pack my equipment and go for a photo shoot, with butterflies in my stomach of course, you know for sure the ones that herald positive trepidation, the elation you feel when you care, this time it is definitely justified. ☺️

Ah, that stage art - movements, silhouettes, colors, fluttering, notes and their rhythm. The combination of dance and music as an extraordinary event for the sense of hearing and sight. The enjoyment is enormous, of course, for all those who are devoted to ballet and classical music. An event that leads all the time through a complex story and leaves you breathless, not letting you take a break, move or wander off. The small viewfinder of the camera was the only window through which that unique spectacle was observed that evening, and next to it all the muscles of the arms were working - challenging, isn't it? ☺️

Photography of the performing arts - a combination of photography and art, culture. Their photos speak for themselves, words are certainly superfluous. They dance, dictate the rhythm, beckon sighs and delight. It's a very nice refresher when it appears among the scheduled shootings, especially when you're also a fan of them. Therefore, photographing a musical-ballet performance inevitably received the status of the impression of the wonderful spring month of May - great and exciting, don't you agree? ❤️
